Camille's Biography
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Growing up in the East Bay Area of San Francisco during the turbulent 1960's, gave me a passion for change and transformation. In the early '70s I took this passion to an outdoor wilderness survival school for troubled 15-25 year olds and therapeutic couples groups, as an instructor. As I spent many days in the field being cold, hungry and tired, but witnessing remarkable transformations which eroded over time, I realized there had to be a better way to help people transform and maintain changes over a longer period of time. I was drawn to the Marriage and Family Therapy program at BYU as an answer to my dilemma. I graduated in 1976 with my Masters Degree.
My passion for this work continued in a part time private practice, as we moved our family about every 4 years to Indiana, Boston (3 times), New York, and Utah. I enjoyed the unique flavor of every place I've lived and enjoyed my personal expansion with each move.
Time in Utah gave me a chance to design and teach courses for MBA students on, Balance in Professional and Private Life, and Creativity in Business. I was also invited to speak in other business schools and professional organizations.
My passion for change and transformation has also supported me through the various crises and transitions in my own life. As a retired Mormon, I am particularly aware of the challenges of spiritual crises and or faith transitions. My personal experience tells me that with support and perspective enlarging tools, it is possible to find an "internal safe space" where you can open up to the dilemmas you are experiencing, and gradually move into an intuitive, peaceful state of being. From a place of wisdom, you will be able to determine what is right for you and how to bring it forth into your life.
I invite you to work with me in a collaborative and supportive environment to move into and create more of what you want in your life.
